TILE pilot STUDY
TINZAPARIN s/c injections versus DOAC: influence on Post-Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS) after first Common Femoral or Iliac DVT
Why are we doing this study?
To estimate the rate of PTS in each treatment group and Quality of Life (QOL) scores form baseline to 6 months in both groups.
Who is eligible?
Patients with acute (<10 days) symptomatic Common Femoral or Iliac DVT
What is involved if I participate in the study?
- Day 10 for Villalta score and DVT- related leg pain, QOL
- Clinic visit 2 at 3 weeks: compliance, QOL
- Clinic visit 3 at 3 months: compliance/ extension of AC treatment
- Clinic visit 4 at 6 months: PTS assessment, QOL
