Mr. Ryan Kerzner received his B.Sc. from Mcgill University in 1999. He later received a B.Pharm. in 2007 and M.Sc. (Advanced Pharmaceutical Care for Hospital Practice) in 2008 from the Université de Montréal. He has been a staff pharmacist at the Jewish General Hospital since 2008, and also serves as an associate clinician for the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Université de Montréal.
Since the beginning of his career, he has worked as a clinical pharmacist in Internal Medicine. Moreover, in 2011, he was one of the co-founders of JASPRO, the hospital’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. Ryan first got involved in the field of Thrombosis and Anticoagulation therapy when he was tasked with reviewing and updating the hospital’s anticoagulation guidelines. Since then, he has developed a great interest in the field and was involved in several related projects in the hospital. In March 2019, he officially joined the CETAC team, where he co-founded an Anticoagulation Stewardship Program. He also plays an active role in many hospital committees, focusing on the improvement of patient safety.
